Victim in nightclub shooting dies; suspect to face murder charge

By BARRY LANK

The woman shot in the head by a Mariner’s Harbor bar early Sunday morning has died, and police said charges against the shooting suspect will be amped up to murder, the New York Post has reported.

Police said Baydr Taylor, 32, shot 31-year-old Shooter's LoungeYolanda Mapp in the head outside Shooter’s Lounge on Forest Ave. at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Taylor reportedly got angry when he couldn’t get into the club while wearing a bulletproof vest.

Mapp died at 6:25 this morning.

Taylor’s sister Taliyah Taylor had fatally run over a prominent local attorney in front of that same bar five years earlier, while driving around naked and high on Ectasy and pot. She is serving a sentence of 22 years to life for the DWI murder.

Taylor himself had recently been in jail for gun trafficking.
