Terrance Mason survived Hurricane Irene. A couple hours after it passed, someone shot him to death.
Police say Mason, 29, of Clifton, was killed at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday outside 197 Gordon St., an area that had already seen two fatal shootings in the last two-and-a-half years.
One witness told the Staten Island Advance that Mason seemed to have been shot in the eye.
News reports give little description of the possible shooter except that he or she was wearing a hoodie.
The Gordon Street address is also the same spot where another man was shot to death on Valentines Day 2009. It’s also across the street from where another fatal shooting took place last year.
