A West Brighton man saves a neighborhood teen from a long-haired rapist

Police have released this sketch of a man who attacked a 19-year-old woman in West Brighton.

A Staten Island man stopped an attempted rape in West Brighton, and now police have a description of a long-haired attacker who stalked the neighborhood.

Vince Corrado performed the heroics last week when he heard a 19-year-old neighbor scream, according to the New York Post. The victim was walking home from a bus stop at around 9 p.m. Monday when a slim man grabbed her from behind, threw her on the ground and tried taking her pants off,

“I saw someone under a car in front of my house and yelled, ‘Who the hell is it?’” Corrado told the Post.

That was enough to scare off the attacker, who got up and bolted out of there.

Police say the attacker was white, between the ages of 18 and 23 and about 5-foot-8-inches tall. He wore a blue T-shirt and light blue jeans. His hair was blond, shoulder-length and in a ponytail.
