Port Richmond man is charged with busting up an auto body shop

A Port Richmond man is charged with breaking into an auto body shop in West Brighton, stealing tools from a tow truck and busting up a couple of cars, according to the New York Post.

Police say they found Abraham Ramirez, 25, just as he was running away from L&S Collision on Rector Street last week. He allegedly had stolen an E-ZPass and a GPS from the tow truck, and had smashed the windows of a 2002 Jaguar and a 2003 Mitsubishi, prosecutors said.

He is charged with criminal mischief, auto stripping, possession of stolen property and criminal trespass, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan said.
