There she is, Miss Staten Island – and also Miss Congeniality

Jamie Lynn Macchia is Miss Staten Island 2012 – and is also, by the way, Miss Congeniality, according to the Staten Island Advance.

The Eltingville resident was crowned Saturday night at the 46th Annual Miss Staten Island Scholarship Pageant at New Dorp High School.

During her reign, Macchia said she plans to promote the Make-A-Wish Foundation, in memory of her friend, Dominic. She’ll also be competing at the state pageant at the St. George Theatre this summer.

For her talent portion of the competition, Macchia performed an interpretive dance.

Due to our peculiar bureaucracy, a completely different woman was crowned Miss Richmond County. Stephanie Accardo, of Dongan Hills, used her time at the pageant to talk about the problem of eating disorders.

In the talent portion, Accardo performed a jazz dance.
