Police say a man killed his old college roommate with an AK-47 assault rifle at a Concord apartment Thursday in a fight over counterfeit money, according to a report in the New York Post.

Armond Skrine, 34, of Queens, is suspected of shooting David Williams, 30, at 11:50 a.m., Thursday. Williams took a bullet to the head, according to the Staten Island Advance.

The two men had known each other at the University of Waterbury in Connecticut.

Police who responded to the call of shots fired at the Steuben Street apartment found Williams lying in the seventh-floor hallway, police told the Advance. Williams reportedly lived at that address with his girlfriend.
