Sun News Ra Leaderboard
Ra is the ancient Egyptian sun god. He's quite the popular fella, too. In later times of the Egyptian dynasty, Ra was believed to rule in all parts of the created world - the sky, the earth and the underworld. There was even a cult that followed Ra.

Ra, in the sense of Sunne.ws, doesn't quite go that far. But becoming Ra on this Sun Spot could bring you a cult-like following.
First, what is Ra?
In our terms, Ra is the one user on our site who has accumulated the most points in our little Sunne.ws game. You accumulate points by doing different things on our site. We don't want to give all the secrets away, but you gain points by completing actions such as registering on our site or watching a video - basically a plethora of actions that you can take as a visitor of Sunne.ws.
Becoming Ra is not as simple as A-B-C, though.
As you accumulate points, you'll be rewarded with statuses. You'll start out as a Sunn.oob (clever, huh? For you non-gamers a "noob" is basically a nerd term for a "newbie" or a "newcomer." Yes, we understand that in order to come up with that term, we have to admit that we're nerds). Get more points and climb the ladder.
On the way, you'll earn trophies. You could become a "Social Bee," for example, for sharing stories on our site via your Twitter or Facebook account.
These statuses and trophies will be posted on your profile page so that all your friends (and your hated enemies) can see your progress. Heck, you can even share this info on your social media accounts.
If you've "been there and done that" enough (and then did it again and again and again), you might - just might - earn enough accolades to become Ra.
There can only be one Ra. Unseat the current Ra and rub it in his or her face. But once you get there, the game isn't over. Like a gigantic, virtual "King of the Hill" game, you can easily be unseated from your throne from someone who envies your position.
It's cutthroat - without all the bloodshed.
