Deceptive parking sign nails commuters at St. George Ferry Terminal

As you drive up, a friendly blue sign says “Daily parking $8.00.” If you park before you pass that sign, you’re fine. But the other side is red and says “No standing.” It’s like an old episode of Futurama.

Dozens of passengers missed the 2:30 p.m. ferry from St. George by mere seconds Wednesday, after suffering delays on the Staten Island Railway – and the guard wouldn’t hold up the ferry for them. That’s when things turned ugly.
